From a bad PG, a good idea.
It started, as good ideas often do, with a problem. Our co-founder Aarav spent his first year at IIT moving through three different PGs — broken wifi, surprise rent hikes, mess food that gave up on flavor. Each move was a battle of phone calls, broker fees, and faith.
By the time he met Sneha and Rohan in 2024, the question had crystalized: why is finding a clean, safe, fair PG harder than finding a flight? Hostro was born to fix that — not as a listings site, but as a complete operating system for student housing.
Today, Hostro Ventures Pvt. Ltd. is on a mission to make sure no student ever moves into a PG sight unseen, no owner has to chase rent on WhatsApp, and no college has to recommend housing it can't vouch for.
