Refund Policy

Eligibility for refund
• Cancellation within 24 hours of payment: 100% refund. • Cancellation within 7 days of payment AND before move-in: 90% refund (10% platform fee retained). • After move-in: Refunds are governed by the rental agreement between student and owner.
How to request a refund
Email hello@hostro.in with your booking ID, OR open a complaint from your dashboard. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Timeline
Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days of approval. Bank processing may take an additional 3-5 days.
Non-refundable
• Platform service fee (₹500 or 5%, whichever is lower) for cancellations beyond 7 days. • Refunds are not provided for stays that have already commenced, except in case of major property defects (verified by Hostro).
Disputes
If you disagree with a refund decision, write to grievance@hostro.in and we'll respond within 7 working days.
